On June 17th 2007 “Father’s
Day”, we lost a daughter, a
sister, a granddaughter, a
niece, and to many others, a
friend. Our beloved Asher was
found murdered in her car at
4:30 am by her mother. To date
2/27/2008 the case is still open
and we all continue to grieve
everyday. We miss her presence
daily, wondering and asking “why
and how” this senseless and
violent incident happened to
someone who was so loving and
giving.

"Police said they received a
call of someone shot at
about 4:30 a.m. at 470
Cornwall St . When they
arrived they found Asher
Glace, 21, sitting in her
car in front of her home.”

Eyewitness News 3 website on
June 17, 2007.
Our beloved Asher was found
dead by her mother. Our
hearts cringed with sadness
and anger for how could
someone be so cruel and
hateful to do to this to our
Asher. She was a vibrant and
ambitious young woman.
Asher Tamara Crystal Glace
was born on July 19, 1985 to
Sandra Elliott and Curtis
Glace. She spent her early
years in St.Lucia, her place
of birth. There she attended
the Anglican Infant and
Primary Schools and
proceeded to the Vide
Boutielle Secondary School .
During her school years in
St.Lucia she participated in
sports, including cross
country track.
At the age of 14 years she
then came to Connecticut to
be with her mother. Asher
then attended the Weaver
High School and there she
continued her favorite past
time, sports. She was very
much liked by many including
her teachers.
Because of her love for the
elderly, during her high
school years she took a
nursing assistant class.
Realizing her passion for
the elderly, after
graduating in 2003, she got
a job in a nursing home.
They all loved her and gave
her abundant advice on going
back to school to get a
nursing degree. After a
couple of years she enrolled
at the Godwin College to
become a registered nurse.
She continued to work at the
nursing home whilst she
attended college.
Asher was a breath of fresh
air. She was loved by
everyone who knew her. An
inspiration to the many
people who came in contact
with her. She made sure
nothing would get in her way
when she made up her mind to
do something for herself or
anyone else.
She was respectful,
strong-minded and down to
earth, characteristics that
many people adore. She
expressed herself not only
with her genuine qualities
but also with a bold sense
of style and fashion. She
was not afraid to push the
limits.
Asher is gone but will never
be forgotten. Asher we love
you... |
